White Fence - The Love Between (Live)

San Francisco was officially spoiled last night. The 200+ bodies that filled the two floor Mission District warehouse were in for a treat. Opener Nick Waterhouse and the Turn-Keys took folks for on a ride of  four part R&B harmonies. For the band’s second live show, they enjoyed a great reception (I picked up a 45 myself). Next, The Strange Boys’ Ryan Sambol performed a stripped down acoustic set, backed by Tim Presley (White Fence, The Strange Boys, Darker My Love), and Carlo Rossi. The crowd waited in a smoky mist while guzzling their Tecate as White Fence prepared to play. Having seen them just 2 nights before, I was pleasantly surprised by their decision to give into the energy of the night: fucking rock and roll. (see video). SF’s hometown hero, Ty Segall closed the night to drunken damp mob. Most of what I can recall from the rest of the night was the taste of cheap gin, Jameson, and a drunk girl trying to guess what people did for a living.
